Since announcing my retirement as an oracular priest I’ve had several people ask me to clarify my views on the differences between oracles and divination.
I’ve touched on this previously, for instance in my ethics of mantike, a word about words from the gods and addendum to my oracles post but there a few other threads of this topic I’d like to tease out (some of them resulting from a conversation I had with my Thracian Adversary during the long Lenaia weekend), so I’m going to start working on that but probably won’t be finished until the end of the week. Hopefully the above will suffice for now.
