Like Archilochos, I fear I was a little premature. (If you understood that pun, you’re one of the cool people. You’re also one of the cool people if you frantically Google it and then pretend you knew all along, because that demonstrates a desire and commitment to maintaining a façade – not to mention actual follow-through – and when you come right down to it, isn’t that really what coolness is all about? Well, that + confidence + making it seem effortless and lie you’re above it all and don’t care.)
Monstrous Things just grew by 5 to 10 poems, which probably means another day or two of work. (I’m going to lie and say it only took me eight days though, because that sounds cooler. You all should totally play along. In time, perhaps, people will even say, “I was there. He wrote it in 3 days.”) Imagine what my literary output would be if my chemical muses were coke or meth instead of marijuana and alcohol. My writing would probably be shit though, since they’re not half as eloquent. But I digress.
My whole point in making this blog post to my 28 remaining readers is to answer a question that’s been asked a couple times now, namely: what will I be doing during the blog hiatus? It’s almost as if you worry I’ll cease to exist if I’m not writing. No no, it’s okay sweeties. I assure you, I am a real boy. At least, that’s what I tell myself when the bad thoughts take me to the bad place. I am real, I am, I am, I AM!!!
Well, one of the first things I plan to do is make a Sylvia Plath bibliomantic system (a la The Oracle of the Doors) for the Aletides, and matters tarantic.
