Several of you have said that you would like more material on getting a devotional practice started.
So what I think would be really cool is if people blogged about that, that way we could get a variety of perspectives from a variety of traditions for folks to mull over. Talk about how you got started, what kind of devotions are available within your tradition, what kinds of practices you have borrowed from other traditions or innovated yourself, and just what you yourself tend to do on a regular basis.
Get that stuff circulating in the air, I think it could really help a lot of people. If you’ve already written about this stuff, put up links or repost it. The interwebs are so ephemeral; I think that’s why people are having difficulty finding this material.
And hey, personally, I would much rather listen to folks talk about what they do for their gods and spirits than some bullshit drama du jour — how bout you?
Also, I’d just like to give a shout-out to a couple of cool projects I came across recently.
First off there are two new multi-author polytheist blog projects — Meniscus and Gods’ Mouths version 2.0. Should be some cool stuff coming out of there, considering the authors they’ve got.
Also, there’s a Charon devotional in the works from Bibliotheca Alexandrina that could use some submissions.
