The Lokrians have a grove and an altar of the Meilichioi. The sacrifices to the Meilichioi are offered at night, and their rule is to consume the meat on the spot before sunrise. (Pausanias, Description of Greece 10.38.8)
So far everyone who’s answered this has suggested Glaukos. Which is wrong, but it’s probably significant that it keeps coming up. Does this mean Ariadne’s other brother is going to wind up with his own Bakcheion page? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see if he starts showing up for folks. That would be pretty sweet.
Nossis of Lokroi, Palatine Anthology 5.170
Nothing is sweeter than Love; and every other joy
is second to it: even the honey I spit out of my mouth.
Thus Nossis says: and who didn’t love Kypris,
doesn’t know what sort of roses her flowers are.
