On Thursday, August 7th the thiasos of the Starry Bull will be having a discussion about our upcoming festival in honor of Hekate at the usual time and place, 9:30pm EDT via Skype chat.

And on Monday, August 11th at 11:00am central and noon eastern time we’ll be having a chat about Apollo Soranos with special guest Camilla Laurentine (who blogs at Foxglove & Firmitas) a long-time devotee of this particular form of Apollon, which will hopefully help get us in the mood for the thiasos Karneia which he requested be celebrated on the full moon closest to the autumn equinox.

Of course that brings up an interesting question: when should we celebrate this festival? Because the full moons closest to the autumn equinox (September 23) are September 8th and October 8th, making both of them precisely sixteen days off the ‘nox.
